The first thing many patients notice upon their arrival is the warm, friendly environment that greets them. Please meet our friendly staff:

Dr. Trang Nguyen

Dr. Trang joined Capitol Dental Group in 2019. She grew up in a small town in Da Nang, Vietnam. She came to America when she was seventeen years old and have lived in multiple states. However, nowhere feels quite like home to her than California. Dr. Trang recently moved back to Northern California to be closer to my family. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, watching movies, going on road trips and traveling the world.

Dr. Trang attended college at Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. From there she attended dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She was recognized on the Dean’s list, the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry, and Advanced Standing Student in the Endodontic Department. After graduation, she worked as an Associate Dentist in Palm Springs, California. Then, joining Capitol Dental Group whose entire team has given her the affirmation she needed to make her feel right at home and making her job feel more rewarding; to include sharing similar visions for the dental community.

As a dentist, she believes in treating her patients as a whole. She believes in the importance of communication and putting together an amazing team to create the best dental experience for you. Restorative Dentistry is her passion; however, she enjoys all aspects of Dentistry. In the future, she wants to commit herself with further learning and professional growth by conducting more complex dental cases and by taking more Continuing Education courses.

Dr. Trang’s goal is to become a skillful and experienced General Dentist who is also confident, knowledgeable, and sympathetic to provide a high standard of care, all while creating a long-lasting relationship to bring happy smiles in people's lives.

Dr. Theresa Ta

Dr. Theresa was born in Des Moines, Iowa but spent most of her life raised in San Jose.  She attended college locally, at San Jose State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, where she then furthered her education and trained at UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Theresa moved back to the Bay Area to provide her community with quality dental care. She continues to strive for the best and understands that she is a lifelong learner. She is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and Santa Clara County Dental Society (SCCDS).”

Dr. Theresa’s passion has always been cosmetics and fashion. She pursued her dreams as a General Dentist because she believes that in the field cosmetics dentistry, there is potential for work to look overly perfect or “done.” She hopes to create beautiful smiles while still looking completely natural. This is done through comprehensive production of veneers, including a layering process that cause them to look like natural teeth. Dr. Theresa enjoys traveling but when she’s back home, she loves nothing more than to relax with her two cats, Pepper and Leo.

Dr. Eric Ngo

Dr. Eric Ngo joined Capitol Dental Group in 2018—one of our few dentists who got to witnessed and truly understand how a practice is built from the ground up. Dr. Eric’s resilient, hard-working, funny, and compassionate personality is what makes him one of our leading dentists.

Dr. Eric learned the importance of listening and caring for people from his parents. “From a young age, I knew I wanted a career in health care. I chose dentistry, because it is one of the few fields in health care where the doctor can spend more than five minutes with his or her patient. I want my patient to feel that I care, and that they are not just a number in the health care system.”

It was at University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry where Dr. Eric earned his doctor degree. During his time there, he received the Dr. Henry A. Sutro Award for the rehabilitation design and the Quintessence Restorative Award for outstanding performance in clinical restorative dentistry. Prior to dental school, Dr. Eric graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology—working hard as a student and a DAT Instructor teaching students all concepts necessary to achieve high marks on the Dental Admissions Test.

When Dr. Eric is not working or reading, he likes to practice Spanish speaking—a talent he picked up in high school. He is also a big fan of fitness, working as a personal trainer for close family and friends  and coaching the junior high school basketball team at Silver Creek High School whenever time allows. His love for basketball speaks volume and you can hear it in his conversations with his patients.  

Connie Trinh

Connie has been with Capitol Dental Group since 2018—simultaneously fulfilling her duties as Business Operations Manager and Hygienist all in one. We love to refer to Connie as the “heart” of the office—as her first priority first and foremost is to make sure all of her staff is happy, taken care of and supported. She is responsible for managing our amazing team and making sure the day to day operations run smooth—always being the one person our doctors, staff, and patient can go to in any situation.

Although her role in the office is our Operations Manager, she continues to maintain her hygiene duties—as her first true passion is dental hygiene! Connie has an Associate of Science in human development and psychology from the University of California, Davis. She furthered her education as a hygienist at Carrington College where she graduated with Summa Cum Laude. As a hygienist, her focus is on providing quality care to her patients and educating them on how to maintain good oral health. Connie is committed to making hygiene appointments a comfortable and positive experience. She is here to learn about your dental history, listen to your concerns, and plan for a healthy future together. Her compassionate personality and love for the industry is why she loves taking care of patients and seeing how happy they are after having procedures at our office. Connie’s hobbies include cooking, hiking, and traveling. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing with her golden doodle dog named Tofu, visit family and friends, and volunteering at St. Maria Goretti Parish.

Trang Nguyen

Trang joined Capitol Dental Group in 2018 and currently serves as our Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions—leading all of our assistants to ensure our patients receive the best care possible. She earned her RDAEF degree through University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. In the years she’s been with the practice, she’s fulfilled almost every job title from receptionist to Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions and everything in between. For that reason, her vast arsenal of knowledge is able to better educate our staff and patients with any and all inquiries they may have.

Married with a daughter named Lianna, Trang lives in San Jose all her life and loves spending time with her family and friends. She loves finding new healthy foods to try—as she has a passion for all things related to health and nutrition.

Cynthia Ly

Treatment Coordinator

Cynthia worked in the dental field since 2014 but joined Capitol Dental Group in 2018 working as our Treatment Coordinator. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State University East Bay. Her natural compassion for helping others grow and achieve their goals is why she loves to help guide our patients through their dental journey, from start to finish. Her caring and calm demeanor leaves patients feeling at ease as they make important dental decisions.

Cynthia is well versed in the field of dentistry, as she has been actively working in the dental field for six years. While working at our office, Cynthia continues to work toward her goal of becoming a dentist. She loves being able to educate patients on what products and treatments work best for their specific concerns. Cynthia enjoys spending quality time with her niece and nephew, Olivia and Tyler, usually taking them to their favorites places.

Elizabeth Ngo

Marketing and Social Media Specialist

Elizabeth joined our team in 2019 as our Treatment Coordinator, but we soon learned that she has a strong visual aesthetic for marketing and social media. She has a keen eye for trend awareness, embracing channel diversity, and a gifted storytelling skill—helping the practice grow and connecting the world with our office. She especially loves the process of creating exciting content to show our audience, from procedures and surgeries to daily oral hygiene tips from our providers.

Elizabeth is currently a full time student at University of California, Santa Cruz studying Biology. She is passionate about the medical field and hopes to pursue a career in healthcare in the future. Aside from work and school, on her free time she likes to watch movies, work out, and play with her cat named Luna.
